Deputy Secretary-General of Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, Sheikh Hussein Al-Daihi, met the Islamic Jihad Secretary General Ziad Al-Nakhla of Palestine, stressing the full commitment to the Palestinian cause.

Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society considered preventing the broadcast of a symposium against the Zionist enemy by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development an act in contradiction with the Bahraini Constitution and local laws. It said that this step is among the normalization policy adopted by the authorities.

The Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society said in a statement it issued on Saturday (May 9, 2020) "the priority today is to confront this pandemic, unite and direct efforts towards facing it and maintaining the safety and health of our people and taking care of their affairs."

Al-Wefaq Deputy Security-General, Sheikh Hussein Al-Daihi, said that Bahrain has become a model for the absence of a free press and spread of yellow press responsible for polishing tyranny.

Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society said that more than 1,000 Bahraini citizens are still stuck in Iran, in addition to other citizens stuck in other countries, including Qatar, Jordan and other countries. The regime refuses their return and puts various obstacles to prevent it.
