Bahrain Mirror: Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim expressed that "the Palestinian cause represents in one of its aspects the issue of Karbala, and its jihad represents an extension of that jihad," stressing that "everyone bears the responsibility of supporting the Palestinian cause, men and women alike."

In a speech marking the birth anniversary of Sayyida Zainab (AS), Sheikh Isa said that "this path is a duty and its impact is the impact that this issue and the unity of Palestine has on Islam, the people of Islam and humanity as a whole. It has some of the impact of the tragedy of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him."
