Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wefaq reiterated that "the normalization agreement between Bahrain and the occupation (Zionist) entity lacks legal ground since its commencement," noting that "it has become flawed, shameful and humiliating to continue this agreement after the brutal bloody war of the occupation on Gaza."
Al-Wefaq expressed in a statement that "the decision-maker is ridiculously seeking to raise a set of headlines and issues to divert attention from the tragedy and disaster that befalls Gaza, all while the people of Bahrain, unanimously, agreed that the normalization agreement should be abolished," noting that "the government's insistence on adhering to it is a humiliation to all Muslims, Arabs and free people."
It went on to say that "the government in Bahrain is working by various means towards opening other files and side topics to occupy public opinion with the aim of breaking the unity of this people who adhere with all their forces, institutions and masses to putting an end to the agreement of treason and shame between the government and the occupation entity."
The Society stressed that "the size of the overwhelming popular consensus, which constitutes an important historic referendum, requires working towards ending the normalization agreement immediately, out of respect for the popular will, and respect for the blood of innocent people who are bleeding at the hands of the murderous occupier, whom the government refuses to give up."
While Al-Wefaq stressed that "all legal obligations and covenants between the ruler and the governed require the ruler to respond by abolishing the normalization agreement," it warned that "not responding constitutes a breach of the origin and nature of this relationship."
