Bahrain Mirror: The Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs claimed that there are "legal violations and abuses in Friday sermons at one of the mosques," referring to the Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Diraz, west of the capital Manama, and vowed not be tolerant with such sermons.
The Directorate of Religious Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs claimed, in a statement, on June 4, 2023, that worshippers repeated some hate slogans (at Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque) and claimed that there were violations during sermons, saying that this contravenes the sanctity of places of worship and their lofty and venerable role.
It demanded that "religious platform (Imam al-Sadiq Mosque) be at the forefront of defending the rule of law and confronting any violations," hinting that the mosque should be a platform to defend the regime.
The administration vowed not to be tolerant with what it called "any attempt aimed at reiterating crisis-mongering discourse."
