Bahrain Mirror: Two UAE and Israeli companies have begun an agreement to link the communications network between the two countries and Bahrain, as part of accelerating the ongoing normalization process.

Arc Solutions, a Dubai-based telecom infrastructure solutions provider, said in a statement on Tuesday, that it has signed an agreement with Israel's leading internet service provider (ISP) and IT solutions provider, Bezeq International (BI), to deploy its network in Bezeq's data center in Tel Aviv.

Arc and BI are creating the lowest latency route between regional hubs in the UAE, Global Zone Bahrain, Smarthub UAE and Israel.

"Arc's partnership with Bezeq International is a great step forward for the growing co-operation between Israel and the UAE," according to Arc CEO Mahesh Jaishankar. "Our customers can now access the lowest latency routes to Europe via Israel."

"Bezeq International is a great partner, and it is great to be working with the team in Israel on this landmark initiative," he said.

"There are tremendous growth opportunities for Arc and Bezeq International," said Ron Glav, VP Business Division & Global Alliances at Bezeq International.

"The Israel-United Arab Emirates agreement has just found us ready to supply, taking advantage of Israel's unique geographic position as a hub connecting between Europe, Asia, and Africa and new Middle Eastern markets," he said.

The UAE and Israel have signed a number of cyber agreements after the normalization agreement was announced in August 2020.

It is note that part of the $10 billion that Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed has decided to invest in the Israeli market will be directed at companies engaged in cyber and advanced technologies.

Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani Al Zeyoudi, said on Monday that his country is working on more trade agreements to deepen its relations with what he described as fast-growing economies, noting that the Gulf state is about to conclude agreements with both Israel and Indonesia.

He added in an interview with Bloomberg Television that trade treaties are expected to have a "significant impact" on the volume of FDI and bring business from "all over the world".
