Bahrain Mirror: The Cabinet approved on Tuesday (August 3, 2021) during its session chaired by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa a memorandum by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs regarding amending the provisions of the decree-law 19/1976 regarding medals, to create the Prince Salman bin Hamad Medal for Medical Merit, in accordance with the royal order issued in December 2020.

The creation of the medal is in recognition of the efforts of doctors, nurses, medical staff, and support staff, as well as front-line health workers who have sacrificed their lives while performing their duties.
