Blogger of "Sanawat Al-Jareesh" Jassim Al-Abbas Arrested

Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Bahraini authorities arrested historical researcher, Jassim Hussein Al-Abbas, owner of the famous historical blog "Sanawat Al-Jareesh" over the charge of publishing wrong information. Al-Abbas was taken into custody after he was summoned for interrogation on January 30, 2020.
Al-Abbas is a researcher and historian from Al-Ma'amir village. He runs the renowned Bahraini website "Sanawat Al-Jareesh" which is deemed the largest website in Bahrain providing historical information, documents and research since 2008. More than 250,000 people follow his Instagram page.
Jassim has more than 12 historical books, printed and manuscripted. Last month, Awal Centre published a book of his entitled (Dohat Al-Farisiya: Historical documentary study of the extinct Farisiya village)
