Bahrain Mirror: The High Criminal Appeals Court adjourned, for the second time in row, the ruling in case of death convicts Hussein Mousa and Mohammad Ramadan until January 8, 2020.

Lawyer Ibrahim Serhan said that the court postponed the ruling due to the absence of convicts after the prison administration refused to transfer them to the court, although they were ready.

Although a final ruling was issued by the Court of Cassation in upholding the death sentences, the public prosecution appealed the verdict after obtaining "new evidence" that were not available during the trial period.

The Court of Cassation returned the case to the Court of Appeal for re-determination.

Human rights groups say Hussein Moussa and Mohammad Ramadan were severely tortured to extract their confessions, which were the main evidence in their trial over charge of murdering Asian policeman Abdulwahed Sayed Mohammad Faqir in a blast in Al-Dair.
