Transportation Minister: New Air Traffic Control Center

Bahrain Mirror: Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal Ahmed announced the launching of a new air traffic control center.
The minister said that 45% of the work for the center has been completed. "The ministry has recently tendered the development of air traffic management systems for the new air traffic control center, which was submitted by four international companies specialized in this field. The value of the lowest tender amounted to 13 million euros, equivalent to 5 million dinars," he added
He said that the current air traffic control center will be maintained as an alternative center for use in case of emergency and as an air traffic control simulation center to quality and train air traffic controllers.
