Bahrain Mirror: Activists overseas staged a protest in front of the Thai embassy in Australia demanding the authorities in Bangkok to allow Bahraini football player Hakeem Al-Araibi return to his residence in Australia, where he has been granted asylum.
Protestors chanted slogans demanding his release like "Freedom for Hakeem".
Australian-based Bahraini activist Hassan Abdulnabi said "we are protesting today in front of the Thai embassy in Australia to demand returning Hakeem Al-Araibi to Australia."
"Extraditing him to Bahrain puts his life at risk because the security apparatuses in Bahrain are repressive and notorious by testimony of the United Nations and senior organization across the world,” he added.
