Bahrain Mirror: Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Mohammed bin Salman left Bahrain after an official visit he started on Sunday.
King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa launched today (Monday, November 26, 2018) with the Saudi Crown Prince a new oil pipeline, which is expected to pump a rate of 220,000 barrels per day, with a transport capacity of 350,000 barrels per day. It will run 110 kilometers and connect between Saudi Aramco's Abqaiq oil facility in eastern Saudi Arabia and Bapco's refinery in Bahrain.
Bin Salman held talks with King Hamad bin Isa, in the presence of PM Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on the solid longstanding relations and progressing cooperation between the two countries.
In a statement issued about the discussions held yesterday, King Hamad stressed that Bahrain's government support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against what he deemed "malicious allegations and false claims".
He went on to say that Saudi Arabia would "continue its leading global", making use of its "potentials that make it a cornerstone for the security and stability of the region and the world at large."
The King bestowed the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Medal of the Excellence Class on Saudi Crown Prince in recognition of his efforts to boost the Bahraini-Saudi relations and cooperation.
The Saudi Crown Prince's tour came after the killing of Khashoggi stirred the world and placed Saudi Arabia under great pressure amid questioning its narrative of the crime.
CIA analysis pointed the finger at Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Meanwhile, US president Donald Trump confirmed his country's commitment to its Saudi ally even though he admitted that Mohammed bin Salman might have been behind the crime. The Saudi crown prince went to Egypt and is expected to visit Tunisia later.
