Bahrain Mirror: President of SALAM for Democracy and Human Rights, Jawad Fayrouz, said today that the ruling against opposition leader Sheikh Ali Salman and the two former MPs of the opposition bloc, Sheikh Hassan Sultan and Ali Al-Aswad, is an act of "political revenge with distinction."
"The life sentence against Sheikh Ali Salman will prolong the Bahrain crisis," he added in a tweet he sent on his account.
On Sunday (November 4th, 2018), the regime's courts issued a life sentence against the Secretary-General of the National Islamic Al-Wefaq Society, annulling his acquittal. It also sentenced two former MPs of Al-Wefaq bloc, Sheikh Hassan Sultan and Ali Al-Aswad to life imprisonment over charges of "communicating with Qatar".
