Shiite Cleric Released after Serving One-Year Jail Term

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini authorities released on Thursday (August 3, 2017) Shiite cleric Sayed Ali Ahmad after serving one year jail term over the background of Diraz protest.
Activists showed photos for Sayed Ali Ahmad in his village, Diraz, where he was arrested from over taking part in the protest held outside the house of spiritual leader of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim house against the decision that revoked his citizenship.
The authorities arrested last year dozens of Shiite clerics after they revoked Sheikh Qassim's citizenship and sentenced them to various prison terms.
