Bahrain Mirror: US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Stuart Jones, said that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries will meet within a year in Washington with US President Donald Trump.
In a press conference concerning the US President's foreign trip, Jones said that "Gulf leaders will meet within a year in Washington to go through what they reached in the process if combating terrorism and confiscating its funds.
Moreover, Jones noted that in the summary of the Gulf Summit, there was a firm statement to deter the Iranian interference in the region, especially in Bahrain, Yemen, and Syria.
The Bahraini authorities claim that Iran interferes in its local affairs, and supports dissidents. However, the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry denied any Iranian involvement in this regard.
