Bahrain Mirror: Head of the Bahraini Hawza in the holy city of Qom, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Daqaq said that the verdict issued against Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, hides between its lines dangerous mazes leading to his exile from Bahrain in 6 months. He noted that "the rulings that seem lenient in appearance are severe on the interior."

"This ruling is malicious and void (...) these unjust verdicts are a conviction against religion authorities," Sheikh Al-Daqaq said in reference to the 1-year suspended verdict and BD 100,000 fine issued against Ayatollah Sheikh Qassim.

Regarding the sentence suspension for 3 years as the verdict was ruled, Sheikh Al-Daqaq believed in an interview with Iranian Tasnim news agency, that this expression was introduced so people would feel that the verdict is lenient. He went on to say that if the convicted does not pay the fine within 6 months from the date of the verdict, then the verdict against him will be implemented.

"If the BD 100,000 fine is not paid during 6 months, then Sheikh Isa Ahmad Qassim will be exiled from Bahrain, since the regime has revoked his citizenship," he added.

Concerning the possibility of appeal, and whether Sheikh Qassim would appeal the verdict, Al-Daqaq asserted that Ayatollah Qassim does not recognize this court, nor does he see that this trial is person, he rather deems it a trial against the religious Khums ritual, therefore, he does not deal with it at all.

Therefore, Sheikh al-Daqaq clarified, that the regime fined him with BD 100,000, because they know he will not interact with them, and it will wait for 6 months before issuing his indictment and exile from Bahrain.
