Geneva: Germany Demands Bahrain to Immediately Investigate Torture Allegations

Bahrain Mirror - Exclusive: Germany expressed concern over the ban that prevented Bahraini rights activists from traveling to Geneva to take part in the UN Human Rights Council sessions.
In its intervention on Monday (May 1, 2017) during the 27th UPR session in Geneva on Bahrain's human rights record, Germany said it is concerned over "the execution of death penalties in Bahrain, and reports on travel bans imposed on activists." It also demanded that Bahrain investigates torture and ill-treatment allegations.
Germany called on Bahrain to abolish all laws that limit right to freedom of assembly and association, and to amend laws that allow citizenship revocations.
