Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini High Appeals Court upheld a 5-year prison term against an appellant and 3-year prison term against three others over charges of planting hoax bomb, setting fire to tires and assaulting policemen in the Saar area.

The Public Prosecution accused the defendants on November 14, 2015 of arson, by setting movables on fire on a highway, threatening people's lives and properties for a terrorist purpose. The prosecution further accused them and other unidentified suspects of planting a hoax bomb in a public space, joining an assembly of more than five people for the purpose of disturbing public security and putting people's lives and properties at risk, and acquiring and having possession of Molotov cocktails.

The court also stated that since the first, third and fourth defendants are 15 years of age and considered minors, they have a right to a commuted sentence pursuant to articles 70 and 71 of the law.
