MoI Interrogates Nabeel Rajab over Article in French Newspaper, Refers Case to Prosecution

Bahrain Mirror: The Director-General of Anti-corruption and Economic & Electronic Security has announced that the Cyber Crime Directorate has identified an article in French newspaper 'Le Monde' quoting Nabeel Rajab. The article contained false and malicious information and rumors that defamed Bahrain and other GCC countries in an attempt to harm their interests.
He added that a warrant had been issued by the Public Prosecutor. Nabeel Rajab, who is in detention for another case, has denied giving any statement and said the newspaper itself should be held responsible. The Director-General said that proceedings are being taken and the case was referred to the Public Prosecutor.
