US State Department Reiterates Calls to Release Prominent HR Defender Nabeel Rajab

Bahrain Mirror- Exclusive: US State Department reiterated its calls to release Nabeel Rajab, stressing that it follows his case and that representatives of the U.S. embassy in Bahrain attended Rajab's last hearing.
Director of Press Office Elizabeth Trudeau said in a press conference held in the US State Department building on Monday (August 8, 2016) that "Rajab's next court date has now been scheduled for September 5th. We call on the Government of Bahrain to release Nabeel Rajab."
"Representatives of the U.S. embassy in Bahrain attended his last hearing. We'll continue to stay engaged on this," she added.
Trudeau concluded saying "We've raised concerns with the Government of Bahrain, particularly on this case (Nabeel Rajab). In terms of his treatment in prison, I have nothing to read out."
