Court Jails 35 Suspects Accused of Attacking Security Patrol

Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court handed down a 15-year jail term to 13 suspects on Thursday (June 16, 2016), 3 year-jail term to 22 suspects and acquitted 5 others from the charges of killing attempt, assembly and riot.
The public prosecution accuses 35 citizens of monitoring the movements of patrols passing near Diraz awaiting to attack them with Molotov.
The prosecution relied on hearsay evidence of the attesting witnesses and testimonies of suspects.
Human Rights Watch has issued a report accusing Bahrain of using systematic torture to extract incriminating confessions from detainees.
