Family of Detainee Mohammad Jamil Al-Samie’ Calls for Disclosing his Fate after Torture Claims

Bahrain Mirror: Family of detainee Mohammad Jamil Al-Samie' said that they received information stating that their son was admitted to the military hospital after he was subjected to torture in Bahrain's Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
In a statement, Al-Samie's family expressed their concern regarding his safety, calling for "revealing his fate".
They further explained that Mohammad's case is considered to be as an act "forced disappearance".
Al-Samie' was arrested on March 10, 2016. He has been pursued by police for five years over his support for the political demands of the opposition and was eventually apprehended in an ambush by the police in the area of Sanabis.
"Our house was raided a dozens of times and our son was pursued. He was recently pursued by a vehicle ridden by armed militants, which hit him, yet he managed to escape afterwards. Despite that, he was accused of hitting them," the family added.
They also called on "all human rights activists and politicians to take a serious action to disclose Mohammad's fate and reveal his medical condition."
