Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Public Prosecution announced on Thursday that Dr. Saeed Al-Samahiji was referred to court over charges of insulting Saudi Arabia and calling for demonstrations, as he published tweets on his personal Twitter account, condemning the Saudi authorities' execution of the political and religious Shiite leader Sheikh Nimr Al-Nimr.
The prosecutor Issa Al-Mannai stated that the Prosecution completed its investigations in the case in which a media abuser insulted a brotherly state and publicly urged disobedience of the law and regulations of the Kingdom of Bahrain and publicly called for participation in unlicensed rallies and assemblies. It referred the suspect while in custody to Bahrain's Ninth Minor Criminal Court, and set January 21, 2016 as the date of the court hearing, Al-Mannai added.
