Bahrain Mirror: The wife of Jaw Central Prison detainee, Hussein Hamza Yousef, said that her husband is experiencing severe pain, as he suffers from sinusitis, yet the prison administration is not providing him with medication.
"On November 15, 2015, we talked to him on the phone, and he stressed that he hasn't been able to sleep for the past three nights due to severe headaches, while the prison administration only provided him with Panadol," she added, pointing out that her husband "was transferred to the military hospital, and despite that the doctor prescribed medication for him, the prison administration refused to provide it." She further stated that they have filed a complaint 5 months ago.
According to his wife's statements, detainee Hussein Hamza (27 years old) suffered from sinusitis before he was sentenced to 3 years in prison, 11 months of which he has served, and he is in urgent need of surgery, which he wasn't able to have before his arrest because he was being pursued by the security authorities.
"In our last visit, on October 27, 2015, he once again filed a complaint, and despite that the prison administration is aware of his suffering, we haven't received any response," his wife added.
