Bahraini FM Meets with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights

Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Prince Zeid bin Ra'ad Al-Hussein on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly held in the US city of New York.
The Foreign Minister said that Bahrain "is looking forward to cooperating with the high commissioner in the area of technical cooperation and building capacities in the human rights field," stressing on "Bahrain's keenness to boost cooperation with the UN High Commission for Human Rights in promoting human rights work in Bahrain."
It is noteworthy that the Bahraini authorities are still postponing opening an office for the high commissioner in Manama to follow up the deteriorating human rights situation.
