Yusuf Al-Muhafda: EU Representative Meets Nabeel Rajab inside Prison

Bahrain Mirror: Yusuf Al-Muhafda, deputy head of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR), stated that the European Union Special Representative for Human Rights, Stavros Lambrinidis, who "recently visited Bahrain" had paid a visit to "the human rights defender and political prisoner",BCHR President, Nabeel Rajab, "in prison" without providing more details.

The EU Special Representative has strongly criticized the Bahraini government for arresting Rajab, considering that the measures taken against him "threaten national reconciliation".
Upon reaching Bahrain, Lambrinidis announced that he is on a "human rights" visit and that he is willing to "meet with the government, justice and human rights institutions, Parliament, political societies and civil society."
