Hate speech in Bahrain and warning of death or revenge
The form of hate speech and negative stereotyping in the authorities' media coverage against the opposition have been one of the main means of the political conflict in the uprising that has been ongoing in Bahrain since 2011. Hate speech went through a late development of its mechanisms in some of its main platforms.

Around 7,602 media items were the outcome of the hate speech and hate-provoking messages targeted at human rights defenders, political activists, Bahraini citizens and international human rights institutions in 2018.
519 Inciting Media Materials against Opposition Published in Bahraini and Gulf Newspapers, Social Media Accounts
Bahrain Forum for Human Rights (BFHR) said that 519 media materials and messages that incite or help to incite hatred were monitored in August through following what is published in four official Bahraini newspapers and accounts on social media outlets.
