Bahrain Mirror: The health of the prisoner of conscience held in Bahrain's Jaw Central Prison, Hamad Yousif Kadhem, deteriorated due to the prison administration's negligence of his condition and its prevention of treatment for him.
Kadhem, the first detainee since the beginning of the "Pearl Uprising" in February 2011, who is sentenced to life imprisonment, suffers from "gout" disease, which causes him sudden and severe joint pain attacks.
Kadhem's family has demanded authorities to release him and enable him to receive treatment from specialized doctors.
