Bahrain Mirror: The Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society announced its absolute rejection of the Israeli Foreign Minister's visit to Bahrain's capital, Manama.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said that minister Yair Lapid will head to Manama, based on an invitation from his Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif Al-Zayani, adding that the minister will inaugurate the Israeli Embassy and will sign a series of bilateral agreements.
Al-Wefaq said in a statement that some news outlets have circulated news stating that the Zionist Foreign Minister will visit Bahrain, noting that this piece of news is a provocation and that the visit is totally rejected. The society stressed that he must not set foot in Bahrain.
"We affirm our absolute rejection and the people of Bahrain's objection to staining our land and nation. We stress that any Israeli presence in Bahrain is a provocation to the sentiments of Bahrainis and a desperate attempt to break their word and will, also infringing on the right of the people to their fateful and principled issues," it added.
Al-Wefaq went on to say that the regime is the host, indicating that "the regime doesn't have the right to do so and it was not mandated by its people to establish relations with the Zionist entity. Thus, any communication or relation with the occupying entity is rejected and condemned. Our people will not accept it and will deal with it as a threat to their stability and existence."
