Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Bahrain has registered more than 18,000 COVID-19 cases until Monday (June 15, 2020).
Bahrain announced the first Coronavirus case on February 24 for a citizen coming from Iran.
Figures show that about 13,000 people have recovered, while 5,000 are still infected.
According to the Ministry of Health, 138 cases require treatment, 18 of them are in intensive care.
41 patients have died so far, all of them had underlying health conditions. The deceased included Bahrainis and foreigners.
Infections and deaths increased dramatically earlier this month after Bahrain eased restrictions on work and assembly to curb the spread of the virus.
Since the beginning of the month, Bahrain has recorded 22 deaths out of 41.
