Bahrain Mirror: Responding to the Bahraini minister accusations to Qatar of meddling in Tunisia's internal affairs, Rachid Al-Ghannouchi, the head of Tunisia's main Islamist Ennahda movement, attacked the Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalid Al Khalifa, accusing him of "underestimating the Tunisian Democracy" and urging him "to take care of his country's affairs and leave Tunisia's to its people".

The Bahraini Minister said in press statements that Qatar does not only play a negative role in Yemen, but also in Libya, Tunisia, Gulf States and Iraq, in reference to Qatar's interference in the recent parliamentary elections won by Ennahda.

Al-Ghannouchi commented on Al Khalifa's statements saying that the elections in Tunisia is not a toy in anyone's hand and its results were not expected or known (as it is the case in most of the Arab countries), accusing Al Khalifa of attempting to underestimate the Tunisian democracy. He also called Al Khalifa to take care of his country's affairs and leave Tunisia's to its people.

Latifa Al-Habashi, Chairperson of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Tunisian Parliament, criticized Al Khalifa's statements, indicating that "Tunisia's policy depends on non-interference in the affairs of others, and therefore it will not allow anyone to interfere in its affairs. This policy has been further confirmed after the recent elections witnessed in our country."
