Bahrain Mirror: Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning proposed two days ago a tender to construct a new tire recycling factory as part of the state's approach to adopting environmental solutions.
The tender will be the first stage to prequalify local single contracting firms or joint venture with relevance experience in the waste tires recycling in Bahrain.
The ministry has given, through Tender Board office, a deadline until Wednesday, November 28.
Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam Khalaf expected earlier that the construction of the factory would start this year and be completed during 2019.
This project is being made through cooperation between the Ministry of Works, and Supreme Council for Environment, and it is among number of government initiatives to treat wastes in the country.
