Bahrain Mirror: The Fourth High Criminal Court presided over by judge Ali Al-Dhahrani and membership of judges Ousama Al-Shathili and Wael Ibrahim and Ahmad Al-Suleiman as a secretariat adjourned the case of prominent leader in Al-Wefaq and cleric Sheikh Hassan Isa until March 29 to issue its verdict in his case.

The court listened on February 28, 2017 to the closing arguments and decided to adjourn the case.

Sheikh Hassan Isa (Former Bahraini Member of Parliament for the opposition Al-Wefaq society) has been in solitary confinement since his arrest in August 2015 in an inhuman punishment that was criticized by local and international human rights organizations.

Authorities have charged Sheikh Hassan Isa of "funding a terrorist group" over helping the families of those detained or convicted by the authorities, on the basis of political cases. The prosecution claim that Sheikh Isa funded the convicted in Sitra blast that killed a policeman.

Human rights organizations say that the charges brought against the suspects are over malicious political charges and confessions extracted under torture.

One of the suspects in the blast case had confirmed in a previous session that the security authorities tortured him to say confessions stating that Sheikh Hassan Isa funded them to carry out the operations.
