Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalid bin Ahmad Al Khalifa described the appointment of James Mattis, the former head of Central Command, as Minister of Defense, as "great news".
Khalid bin Khalifa said on his Twitter account that "Mattis fought with us against naked aggression," in reference to his participation in the war to liberate Kuwait in 1991.

In an another tweet in less than 24 hours, Khalid bin Khalifa hailed Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway who serves as "an advisors to US president Donald Trump".
