Bahrain Mirror: Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim confirmed that insulting and humiliating Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour, Friday preacher of Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Diraz, in the Criminal Investigation is a "Zionist demand", stressing that "the people of Bahrain will not surrender and sacrifice their scholars and leaders."

Ayatollah Qassim confirmed in a statement on Tuesday (May 23, 2023) that "the insult and humiliation of Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour in the Criminal Investigation Center by the official and security authorities in our dear Bahrain is a Zionist demand, which expresses the magnitude of this authority's willingness to offer the most precious price, even if this price is sanctified by the people, such as their precious religion, their great symbols, and their important interests, in order to satisfy the Zionists and the temporary Israeli state.

"Such a step is considered an infringement of internal security, a threat to social peace, a violation of the original identity of the homeland, and a foolish coup against the civilized values," he further added.

"The great scholar, Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour is a true example of such a believer who enjoys these feats and honors. He is one of the revered elites that Bahrain is proud of because of his high value in all these aspects."

He warned that "It is a grave mistake for anyone to think that the people of Bahrain will surrender to any of this, and sacrifice their scholars and intellectual leaders, who enjoin good and forbid evil, and take upon themselves the task of defending and shielding them from Zionist conspiracies for the sake of the illegitimate Zionist state and its supporters, i.e. those who support normalization."

"It is not possible to silence the voice of Islam in Bahrain, and for its people to abandon their Qur'an, their Prophet, and the approach of their ancestors in taking God's true servants as their allies, and His enemies as their enemies, or to kneel to anyone but God."

Meanwhile, he stressed that "no one can buy off these people at the expense of their religion and dignity, nor can they -with their intimidating practices- make them forget their Islamic identity." Sheikh Isa highlighted that "What the great scholar, Sheikh Mahammad Sanqour, has said in his sermon at the Friday prayer is nothing but the word of truth that his religion adopts, and the people to whom he belongs approve."

He concluded his statement by saying "May God help these faithful people who are proud of their religion -creed and law- for what this ever-widening divergence between them and the regime that rules them would lead to.  May God save this country from the disasters and horrors of the existing normalization."
