Bahrain Mirror: Hussein Abdullah Abbas, a detainee in Jaw Central Prison, said that he cannot eat because he has completely lost his teeth and is waiting to finish his treatment after creating a denture for him, however, the authorities is depriving him of his appointment in the dental clinic.

The "Prisoners' Affairs Authority in Bahrain" website reported the complaint of the detainee who said in an audio message that blood always gets out his gums, until he reached a stage where blood gets out of him when he relieves himself.

In the same context, human rights activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh said, "The case of detainee Abdullah Abbas is one of hundreds of cases that suffer from the loss of important things due to medical negligence in Bahrain's prisons."

Al-Saegh confirmed in tweets on Twitter that "the director of Jaw Prison turns a deaf ear to the complaints of detainees, and the officer on duty also gives false promises."

She denounced the complete extraction of the detainee's teeth and leaving him without finishing his treatment and installing the dentures made for him.

Al-Saegh stressed that "Abdullah Abbas's condition needs an urgent medical examination, before it develops into a bigger problem," pointing out that "the bleeding he suffers from threatens his life if it is left without treatment."

Hussein Abdullah Abbas, from Salmabad village, has been detained since June 26, 2013, and is sentenced to prison sentences reaching up to 27 years in several politicized cases.
