Jaw Prison Administration Threatens Detainees with "Restriction and Intervention of Special Forces" If They Don't End their Protest

Bahrain Mirror: The Prisoners' Affairs Authority in Bahrain confirmed that the director of Jaw Central Prison, Adnan Bahar, raised the "alert level" in the prison and closed the cells, on Thursday, May 4, 2023, to control the protest of detainees who are demanding enabling prisoner of conscience Abdulwahab Hussein receive his right to treatment and medical care.
The authority affirmed, through its website, that at the beginning of the prisoners' protest in prison, officers threatened the detainees in the prison buildings that are witnessing a protest that they would face further harassment, and also threatened them with the intervention of the special forces if they don't disperse their protest.
