King Fahd Causeway Employees Sentenced to Prison, Fined for Accepting "Bribe" to Falsify Visas

Bahrain Mirror: The Fourth High Criminal Court convicted 12 defendants, including 3 employees of the Ports Department, of the crime of accepting a "financial bribe" in exchange for distorting the data of the government's electronic system and allowing the renewal of entry and exit visas to the Kingdom for people in an illegal way through "King Fahd Causeway".
The court sentenced the defendants to prison terms ranging from 2 to 7 years, fined 6 of them, and deported 5 of them permanently after the end of their sentences, after they conducted 130 operations in violation of the law in exchange for 8,000 and 25 dinars.
