Bahrain Mirror: After consulting with Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Minister of Interior and Municipalities Bassam Mawlawi said that he sent two books to both the Directorate General of Internal Security Forces and the General Directorate of State Security asking them to inform Risalat Hall not to hold two events for the Bahraini opposition on February 14 and 15.
According to an official statement, the minister's office also requested "to take all necessary investigative measures to gather information on organizers and invitees, as these events may hinder the efforts made by the state to strengthen relations with the Gulf countries within the framework of the Kuwaiti initiative.".
Al-Wefaq Society and Bahraini Youth Coalition are expected to hold two events on February 14 and 15 at Al-Saha Hotel, however, a request by the Interior Ministry led to changing the place of the event from Al-Saha Hotel to Risalat Hall.
