Al-Wefaq Documents 40 HR Violations within Week, Al-Signace's Health Deteriorates

Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society said that it monitored a number of human rights violations within the first week of February, most notably was the health deterioration of detained Dr. Abduljalil Al-Singace.

Al-Wefaq indicated that Al-Signace's health deteriorated due to his continued hunger strike which he started in protest against the confiscation of his research.

Al-Wefaq's report which monitored the period between 1 and 7 February mentioned that Mounir Mushaima, brother of martyr Sami Mushaima, was summoned. Meanwhile, the detention of detainees, including two children, was extended over charge of "burning an ATM of Bahrain National Bank". The high criminal court will look into their case on February 14, 2022. The detainees are: Yousef Yasser Al-Juffairi (17 years), Jassim Mohammad Al-Elka, Hasan Ahmad Mubarak (15 years) and Salman Ali Salman.

There is a case of hunger strike in Jaw Prison which Sheikh Mirza Al-Mahrous has started against his ill-treatment, despite suffering from gastrointestinal diseases.

Security raids reached 31 in 11 villages, including 2 cases of checkpoints deployment, in Sitra and Karbabad.

17 peaceful protests were staged in 10 areas, mainly in Sanabis.
