Bahrain's Foreign Minister Meets with his Israeli Counterpart, Ministers Discuss Security and Political Cooperation

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdulatif Al-Zayani met with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in New York to discuss strengthening the bilateral alliance. 

The meeting included the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Shaheen Al-Marar. The meeting was held on the sideline of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The tripartite meeting discussed strengthening security and political cooperation between Tel Aviv, Manama and Abu Dhabi in an effort to enshrine normalization agreements.

With regard to the Bahrain-UAE normalization agreements with the Israeli entity, Bennet said "We're stable and we believe in this relationship and we want to expand it as much as possible."

He stressed that his entity seeks to strengthen relations and alliance with Bahrain and the UAE in all fields and hopes that more countries will join the circle of normalization.

He added that Bahrain Airlines (Gulf Air) will begin regular and direct flights to and from Israel on Monday, with two flights per week in the first phase.

Two days ago, the C3 Organization granted Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the C3 Leadership Award in the annual Arab-American event. Manama ambassador to Washington Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa received the award on the Crown Prince's behalf.

Bahrain News Agency said that "the award is in recognition of the Crown Prince's initiatives in the international health sector and role in further strengthening Bahrain-US relations."

The government of Bahrain, headed by the Crown Prince, sent Khaled al-Jalahama, as an ambassador to Israel in early September, while Israel appointed Eitan Na'eh as its ambassador to Manama this month.
