Peaceful Protest in Memory of Diraz Massacre Martyrs

Bahrain Mirror: A peaceful protest was staged in Bahrain on Saturday (May 22, 2021), marking the fourth anniversary of the massacre committed by the interior ministry forces against peaceful protestors in front of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim's home.
On Sunday, a number of citizens staged a protest in front of martyr Mohammad Al-Sari's home.
Protestors chanted slogans remembering the martyrs and condemning the massacre that led to the martyrdom of 5: Mohammad Ali Al-Sari, Mohammad Abdulkarim Al-Ekri, Mohammad Hamdan, Mohammad Kazem Zainuldin and Ahmad Jamil Al-Asfour.
Dozens of protestors were injured in this massacre and hundreds were arrested. Besides, 162 were sentenced to prison terms, 52 of whom received 10-year jail term.
Al-Wefaq deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Hussein Al-Daihi posted a tweet via his own Twitter account saying that "We will not surrender," adding that "People with such a solid determination and steadfastness will not be defeated by suppression and tyranny and will inevitably achieve their victory as long as they are committed to their wise leadership."
Participants in Diraz protest stressed their adherence to popular demands.
For his turn, head of Al-Ulama Islamic Council Sayed Majid Al-Mashaal delivered a speech in which he praised the martyrs' sacrifices.
