Bahrain Mirror: The Jaffaria Endowments Directorate in Bahrain amended its decision regarding the opening of Matams (Shia congregation halls) during the month of Ramadan.
The Jaffaria Endowments issued a precautionary statement in which it said: "In addition to the previous statement and after consulting with the concerned authorities, it was decided to open Matams on religious occasions during the blessed month of Ramadan, but limited to those who received the Coronavirus vaccine 14 days after the second dose and those who recovered, according to rules to be announced later."
The Directorate issued on Thursday (April 8, 2021) a statement announcing a decision to limit the opening of Matams to men only with a 10-person capacity, including the broadcasting and the administrative staff, and said that arrangements are underway for the commemoration of the holy month of Ramadan with medical precautions, especially during the births and martyrdom anniversaries ofAhlulbayt, peace be upon them, and Qadr nights.
It explained that the initial stage is limited to the presence of 10 people, and that the numbers will be raised later.
The Directorate issued this amendment in its decision after widespread opposition to the content of its first decision.
