Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain witnessed a vast a campaign against the heads of obsequies on the first night of the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib.
The Bahraini authorities summoned a large number of heads of mosques and obsequies from different Bahraini areas, including the capital Manama, on the grounds of breaking the law by turning on loudspeakers.
Some of obsequies heads were forced to sign a pledge after using loudspeakers and were threatened with prison terms and fines up to 10,000 dinars.
The funerals used loudspeakers throughout the holy month of Ramadan during the recitation of the Holy Quran without the intervention of the security authorities, before they started their campaign with the first night of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
