Sultan Qaboos Dies, Defence Council Calls Royal Family to Determine New Ruler

Bahrain Mirror: Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman died on Saturday at dawn (January 11, 2020), according to an announcement by Omani state television and the state news agency. The official television broadcast the holy Quran.
The Omani Defence Council issued a statement, calling upon the Royal Family Council to convene in order to determine who shall assume power following the death of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said, based on Royal Decree 101/1996 on the state statute.
