Royal Decrees Restructuring Ministry of Information Affairs, Ministry of Transportation & NOGA

Bahrain Mirror: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued 3 royal decrees restructuring Ministry of Information Affairs, Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and National Oil and Gas Authority.

He issued Decree 94/2019 restructuring the Ministry of Information Affairs.

The Decree stipulated the restructuring of the Information Affairs Ministry under the Minister, followed by:

First: Bahrain News Agency (BNA) Director General, with the rank of Assistant undersecretary

Second: National Communication Center (NCC)

Third: Information Affairs Ministry Undersecretary, followed by:

1-Human and financial resources directorate

2-Media Directorate

3-Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, followed by:

        a- Technology & Broadcasting Directorate

        b- Transmission & Outside Broadcasting Directorate

4-Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television, followed by:

        a- Television Directorate

        b- Radio Directorate

        c- News Directorate

        d- Creativity and Online Media Directorate

Article Two stipulates the cancellation of Decree 83/2016 regarding the restructuring of the Ministry of Information Affairs.

Under Article Three, the Minister of Information Affairs will execute this Decree that will come into effect from its issuance date will be published in the Official Gazette.

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree 95/2019, restructuring Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications.

The Decree stipulated the restructuring of Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry under the Minister, followed by:

Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications followed by:

First: Communication and Marketing Directorate

Second: Communication Directorate

Third:  Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information followed by:

1.      Information Technology Directorate

2.      Human Resources Directorate

3.      Financial Resources Directorate

Forth: Undersecretary for Land Transport and Postal Affairs followed by:

1.      Postal Regulations Directorate

2.      Assistant Undersecretary for Post, followed by:

        a- Postal operations and Relations Directorate

        b- Postal offices Directorate

3.     Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transportation, followed by:

        a- Land Transportation Regulation Directorate

        b- Land Transportation Projects Directorate

        c- Land Transportation Planning and Studies Directorate

        d- Land Transportation inspection and control Directorate

Fifth: Undersecretary of the Civil Aviation Affairs, followed by:

1- Assistant Undersecretary for Air Navigation and Meteorology

        a- Air Traffic Directorate

        b- Air Navigation Directorate

        c- Directorate of Meteorology

2. Assistant Undersecretary for Air Transport and Aviation Safety and Security, followed by:  

        a- Air Transport Directorate

        b- Aviation Safety & Security Directorate

        c- Air licensing Directorate

Sixth: Undersecretary for Ports and Maritime Affairs, followed by:

1.     Assistant Undersecretary for Ports followed by:

        a- Port Operations and technical services Directorate

        b- Commercial Affairs and Logistics Zone Directorate

        c- Safety and Security Directorate

2.     Assistant Undersecretary for Maritime Affairs followed by:

        a- Safety and Maritime Environment Protection Directorate

        b- Ship Registration and Sailors Affairs Directorate  

Article Two stipulates the cancellation of Decree 78/2016 regarding the restructuring of Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry. 

Under Article Three, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry shall implements the provisions of the decree that comes into effect from its issuance date and that is to be published in the Official Gazette.

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa also issued Decree 96/2019 restructuring the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA).

Article One stipulates that the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) has been restructured as follows:

Minister of Oil, NOGA's Board of Directors Chairman, followed by:

NOGA's Board of Directors, followed by:

NOGA CEO with the rank of Assistant Undersecretary, followed by:

1- Human and Financial Resources Directorate

2- Deputy CEO for Strategies and Control, with the rank of Assistant Undersecretary, followed by:

        a- Planning and Development Directorate

        b- Strategy and International Relations Directorate

        c- Operation Monitoring Directorate

3- Deputy CEO for Production & Petroleum Industries, with the rank of Assistant Undersecretary, followed by:

        a- Production Development Directorate

        b- Petroleum Industries Development Directorate

        c- Exploration Development Directorate

Article Two stipulates the cancellation of Decree 18/2016 regarding the restructuring of NOGA.

Under Article Three, the Prime Minister will execute this Decree that will come into effect from its issuance date and will be published in the Official Gazette.
