Bahrain Mirror: The High Administrative Court upheld the decision of the National Health Regulatory Authority to de-list license of a doctor and remove his name from the records of the authority after exceeding the limits of his license and performing cosmetic surgery for a woman who suffered from serious medical complications. The doctor holds a license in general medicine, however, he performed a cosmetic surgery without a license on the grounds that he obtained degrees in the field of cosmetic medicine.
The court said that the doctor "exceeded the limits of his license to practice general medicine and failed to follow up on the patient's condition after undergoing the surgery, which exposed her to inflammation and left her with a scar in her face and in need for treatment with antibiotics."
