Bahrain Mirror: The House of Representatives insisted in its session on Tuesday (November 12, 2019) on a bill that aims at increasing the salaries of state employees who hold regular, specialized, executive and educational degrees by 20% of the base salary.
Despite disagreement among MPs over the approval of the bill, the House of Representatives unanimously approved the proposed increase.
The Shura Council had voted against the bill, arguing that the financial situation and the high public debt do not allow such an increase.
