EWA: 300,000 Smart Meters to be Installed at 24 Million BD Cost Next Year

Bahrain Mirror: Head of Constructions and Electricity Distributions Directorate in the Electricity and Water Authority, Khalil Ibrahim Khalil, said that the authority is preparing a plan to install 300,000 smart meters to replace the old.
The cost of the project is 24 million dinars, he said in a press statement on the sidelines of a meeting of the Muharraq municipal council.
Khalil expected the project to be announced next year 2020, noting that it is still under the study of technical and administrative aspects of its tender and examination of all necessary aspects in this regard.
