Bahrain Mirror: Sociology graduates said that the Bahraini Ministry of Labor invited them to attend a mandatory course at the Bahrain Training Institute as a condition for continuing the payment of their unemployment benefit, but found out that the course was not for free.
"The Ministry told us that we have the option to either attend the course or have our files closed," said the unemployed graduates, adding that they "were surprised that the Bahrain Institute said that the course costs up to 2,500 dinars".
In an interview with MPs, the unemployed pointed out that the Ministry of Labor had offered them jobs that did not fit their qualifications, including a saleswoman position at a mall.
The issue of sociology graduates is one of the crises exposing the failure of the government. After more than 15 years, the government is still looking for a solution.
