Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini security authorities summoned 4 Shiite clerics (Husseini preachers) and arrested two of them over taking part in Ashura occasion.
The authorities summoned Sheikh Abdulmohsen Al-Jamri, Sheikh Mounir Al-Maatouk, Mulla Kassim Zainuldin and Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Ojaimi. They released Al-Jamri and Al-Maatouk after investigating them and decided to arrest Al-Ojaimi and Zainuldin pending investigation.
Since 2011, the security authorities have been summoning preachers and eulogy citers and arresting them for participating in Ashura season through delivering speeches and poems. Human rights groups say that the aim behind the summons is imposing restrictions on the practice of religious rituals for the country's Shiite majority.
